Tape Backup Libraries
Broadberry Data Systems have introduced its new range of Tape Backup Solutions. The range includes the PivotStor TL2000 2U Tape Library, the TL4000 4U Tape Library and the TL8000 8U Tape Library.
The full range of tape backup solutions are available in LT03 or LT04 modes with the flexibility for fibre channel, SAS or SCSI/LVD connectivity. The range also offers remote management via a web-based interface allowing the tape library to be accessed from anywhere.
With a compressed capacity of up to 38.4TB the 2U tape library is perfect for those moving from direct-attached tape drives or a tape autoloader. The TL4000 4u tape library can handle up to 48 tapes from 4 magazine up to 12 magazine slots with a compressed capacity capability of up to 76.8TB (terabytes). The TL8000 8u tape library can handle up to 96 tapes from 8 magazines up to 12 magazine slots.
The Broadberry range of tape backup devices provides a cost-effective solution for organisations to quickly generate off-site archived backups, with features including light-sensing technology which enables robotics to position accurately with the magazine cartridge slot of the tapes. Dual-armed carrier technology secures the cartridge during load and fetches operations, and motor-driven gear technology precisely aligns robotic tracking and positioning.
